📋 Description

• As a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer - CPO at Addepar Inc., you will drive the transformation of the Production Engineering and SRE team by evolving the platform toward high-level declarative infrastructure orchestration, enabling efficient, scalable, and reliable services across product areas while abstracting developers from infrastructure complexity.
• Day to day, you will lead the design and implementation of Kubernetes-based container infrastructure, build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions, drive Infrastructure as Code adoption with Terraform, develop application-level insights to inform infrastructure needs, perform advanced monitoring and troubleshooting using Prometheus, Grafana, and similar tools, lead cross-functional incident resolution, and serve as a primary on-call responder for critical systems.
• Addepar is a global data and AI platform empowering investment professionals to turn complex financial data into actionable intelligence, serving over 1,400 firms in nearly 60 countries managing nearly $9 trillion in assets, with a presence in key financial hubs including New York, London, Pune, and São Paulo, and integrating with over 650 partners to deliver end-to-end investment operations.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud-native infrastructure, influence architectural decisions at scale, lead technical initiatives across teams, gain exposure to financial services technology practices, and contribute to open-source or internal automation tooling while advancing your impact as a technical leader in a mission-driven, values-based organization.

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive progressive experience in SRE/DevOps/Systems Engineer roles with a track record of increasing responsibility
• Expert-level understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure, including advanced networking, security, and managed services
• Exceptional programming/scripting skills in Python, Bash, and Linux tools, with Java as a strong plus
• Broad expertise with UNIX/BSD/Linux internals, including performance tuning, kernel-level debugging, and advanced system administration
• Extensive containerization experience with Kubernetes (KOPS, EKS, ECS preferred), including cluster management, CRDs, and advanced deployment strategies
• Proficient experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, Sumologic, or AWS-native observability tools
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence technical outcomes
• Demonstrable experience writing and contributing to significant systems automation tooling or open-source projects (strong plus)
• Exposure to financial services industry practices (plus)
• Deep and proven expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in large-scale cloud environments
• Demonstrated experience designing, building, and operating highly reliable, fault-tolerant distributed systems in AWS
• Strong passion for technology, pragmatic thinking, and ability to independently solve ambiguous, complex, cross-functional problems
• Strong understanding of system design principles and ability to influence architectural decisions for large-scale, highly available systems
