• • As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in the re-design of existing software infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on adopting a cloud-first architecture. This involves analyzing current systems, identifying areas for improvement, and architecting scalable, resilient solutions that align with modern cloud paradigms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new infrastructure.
• • Your responsibilities will extend to performing comprehensive engineering analysis, encompassing software, hardware, and network development. This includes the integration of hardware and software products into both stand-alone networks and larger environments. You will be adept at defining, collecting, and implementing customer requirements for projects of varying scales, from small, intricate initiatives to large-scale, complex endeavors.
• • A key aspect of this role involves identifying and resolving moderately complex computer engineering problems. You will lead small product evaluations, develop procedures for installation and configuration, and perform these tasks for hardware, software, or network products. This hands-on approach ensures the successful deployment and operation of our technological solutions.
• • You will also be responsible for building and maintaining the necessary infrastructure to support our development and operational needs. This includes managing the suite of tools associated with the Continuous Integration (CI) development environment, ensuring efficient and automated build, test, and deployment pipelines. Experience with tools like Subversion, Team Foundation Server, Github, Jenkins, Artifactory, Atlassian Suite, Puppet, and Chef will be highly valuable.
• • Customer support and problem resolution are integral to this position. You will be responsible for receiving, tracking, and responding to customer-reported issues, troubleshooting a wide range of software, including collaboration tools, operating systems, web services, and database problems. This requires a proactive and analytical approach to ensure client satisfaction.
• • To effectively address customer needs, you will engage in thorough problem research, utilizing both internal and external knowledge resources such as vendor websites, internal engineering portals, and vendor documentation. Collaboration with more experienced team members will also be crucial for tackling complex challenges. You will be expected to recommend alternative processes or long-term solutions for recurring issues, contributing to continuous improvement.
• • The design and development of engineering solutions to meet customer requirements will be a core function. This includes writing, maintaining, testing, integrating, and implementing software, hardware, and associated documentation. You will ensure that all developed solutions are well-documented and meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
