  • • Alkami Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team, contributing significantly to the development and enhancement of our cutting-edge cloud-based digital banking solutions. This role is pivotal in driving innovation and ensuring the robust performance of our platforms, which serve financial institutions across the United States. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design through to implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance. Your expertise will be crucial in building scalable, reliable, and user-friendly applications that empower our clients to transform their digital banking experiences.
  • • You will take a leading role in architectural discussions and code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, maintaining high code quality, and fostering a collaborative engineering environment. This involves not only writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code but also actively participating in the design process, identifying potential challenges, and proposing effective solutions. Your deep technical domain knowledge of our applications, services, systems, and frameworks will be a significant asset in this capacity.
  • • A core responsibility will be the maintenance and improvement of existing product features. This includes advanced troubleshooting and debugging of complex issues, performing UI tests to optimize application performance, and ensuring the stability of our systems. You will be expected to respond promptly to on-call incidents, triaging and resolving critical disruptions to minimize downtime and maintain seamless service for our customers.
  • • Collaboration is key in this role. You will liaise closely with developers, designers, and system administrators to identify and implement new features, ensuring that our products remain at the forefront of digital banking technology. You will also be responsible for managing and integrating cutting-edge technologies to enhance our legacy applications, driving continuous improvement and modernization efforts.
  • • Gathering and addressing technical and design requirements will be a daily task, requiring a keen understanding of both business needs and technical feasibility. You will contribute to setting up and maintaining environment configurations, monitoring system health, and ensuring the overall reliability and performance of our infrastructure.
  • • The role involves building reusable code and libraries for future use, promoting efficiency and consistency across projects. You will also play a vital role in mentoring and providing technical support to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development within the team. This includes sharing your expertise, guiding them through complex problems, and promoting best practices in software development.
  • • You will champion an API-first approach in software projects, ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and extensibility across our product suite. This involves designing and implementing robust APIs that adhere to best practices, enhancing interoperability and future development opportunities.
  • • Demonstrating self-sufficiency is essential. You will be expected to independently manage tasks, solve problems, and meet deadlines, adapting to new challenges without direct supervision.   • • Experience in monitoring and supporting production systems is vital, including proficiency in identifying and resolving issues, implementing proactive measures, and tracking key performance indicators. You will also be responsible for optimizing system performance, troubleshooting bottlenecks, and implementing effective performance improvements.
  • • A solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, along with caching mechanisms, is required. This includes designing data structures, optimizing database performance, and implementing effective caching strategies to enhance application responsiveness.
  • • You will be expected to participate in an on-call rotation to provide essential support for Alkami’s customers, ensuring the continuous availability of our services.
