• As a Sr Software Engineer on our Coaching team, you will play a pivotal role in the development and ongoing maintenance of our new coaching application. This application is a cornerstone of our broader platform, designed to empower users and drive operational excellence. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping the application's development trajectory, ensuring its stability, optimizing its performance, and guiding its future evolution.
• You will be responsible for the end-to-end software development lifecycle of the coaching application. This includes designing, coding, testing, deploying, and maintaining robust and scalable software solutions. A key aspect of your role will involve actively contributing to the enhancement of our coaching offering by developing new features that meet and exceed the expectations of a global market. This requires a proactive approach to understanding market trends and user needs.
• A significant part of your responsibility will be to uphold and advance our software engineering best practices. This commitment ensures that all deliverables meet the highest standards of stability, performance, and quality. You will be expected to implement rigorous testing methodologies, including unit and integration tests, to guarantee the reliability of the code. Furthermore, you will contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, helping to shape the future technical direction of the coaching application and the wider Platform Science ecosystem.
• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Effective communication and a collaborative spirit are essential for success in this role. You will participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
• The role demands a strong understanding of API development, enabling you to build and maintain robust interfaces that integrate seamlessly with other components of the Platform Science platform and external systems. Experience with modern UI frameworks will be crucial for developing an intuitive and engaging user experience for the coaching application.
• You will leverage cloud technologies to build and deploy scalable and resilient applications. Your expertise in database management, particularly with relational databases, will be vital for storing and retrieving critical application data efficiently and securely.

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive API software development experience with Kotlin, Java, or similar backend languages.
• UI software development experience with React, Angular, or similar frontend frameworks.
• Proven experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience in cloud software development, utilizing platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong proficiency in Test Automation, including Unit and Integration testing.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
