Sr. Software Engineer - Technical Lead

📋 Description

• • Serve as the primary technical lead for an engineering team focused on consumer lending platform integrations, providing architectural direction and hands-on development for fintech solutions.
• • Design, develop, document, test, deploy, monitor, and debug integration solutions using C#, VB.NET, RESTful web services, and SOAP APIs across new and existing systems.
• • Own the end-to-end development lifecycle for integration projects, from requirements analysis and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
• • Establish and enforce technical standards, coding practices, and integration patterns to ensure security, performance, and maintainability across the platform.
• • Create architectural blueprints and technical design documents for complex integration challenges, evaluating provider contracts, API specifications, and data schemas to guide team decisions.
• • Act as the escalation point for production incidents and complex technical issues involving fintech integrations, leading root cause analysis and implementing sustainable resolutions.
• • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through structured guidance, pair programming, and knowledge transfer on integration patterns, financial data handling, and platform conventions.
• • Evaluate emerging fintech integration partners and technologies, conducting proof-of-concept work and providing recommendations to engineering leadership.
• • Ensure all integration solutions comply with MeridianLink’s standards for data security, PII handling, regulatory compliance, and financial data privacy.
• • Contribute to cross-team architectural decisions affecting infrastructure, shared services, and platform-wide API strategy.
• • Apply sophisticated analytical techniques to resolve ambiguous or unusual technical circumstances, designing durable solutions with clear trade-off analysis.
• • Build and maintain relationships with senior internal stakeholders and external partner engineering teams, communicating complex architectural concepts to non-technical audiences.
• • Implement integration patterns including OAuth 2.0, webhook-based event delivery, certificate-pinned mTLS, JSON/XML payload transformation, and API versioning strategies.
• • Leverage deep familiarity with financial data concepts such as credit bureau data, fraud scoring models, bank account verification flows, income verification, and risk-based decisioning pipelines.
• • Utilize AI-powered development tools for coding assistance, debugging, automated testing, code reviews, documentation, and engineering productivity improvements.
• • Lead delivery of complex integration projects end-to-end with proven experience in technical leadership and enterprise web application development.
• • Optimize relational database performance using SQL Server and ensure scalable, secure design of data models for financial systems.
• • Conduct code reviews and define quality gates that enforce security, performance, and maintainability across the engineering team.
• • Stay current with evolving fintech integration technologies and recommend adoption strategies aligned with business and technical goals.
