• • In this remote-based role, located within one of our key HUB regions (CA, Pacific NW, Texas, or Chicago), you will be instrumental in developing scalable backend services, robust APIs, and the underlying infrastructure that powers Dexcom’s rapidly expanding AI features. You will collaborate closely with AI Platform Engineers, leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development cycles while upholding the stringent reliability and regulatory standards (ISO/FDA) essential for medical-grade systems.
• • Your responsibilities will span the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and architecture to implementation, rigorous automated testing, performance optimization, comprehensive documentation, and meticulous verification. You will be empowered to design, build, and maintain sophisticated cloud-based backend systems, including intricate APIs, event-driven microservices, and efficient data pipelines, all while embracing AI-assisted workflows to enhance both speed and quality.
• • A significant aspect of your role will involve developing and seamlessly integrating services with key Google Cloud Platform (GCP) components such as Firestore and Cloud SQL, ensuring robust data persistence and efficient querying capabilities. You will also gain hands-on experience with messaging and streaming technologies like Pub/Sub and Kafka, crucial for building resilient and scalable data architectures.
• • You will be a champion for engineering excellence, actively contributing to the improvement of development processes. This includes driving automation initiatives, enhancing developer efficiency, implementing advanced monitoring and observability solutions, and spearheading cost-optimization efforts within the cloud environment.
