- • The Sr System Engineer Managed Services role at CDW Corporation is critical for developing and maintaining robust infrastructure solutions that support complex, large-scale business projects through automation, system design, and quality assurance.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the full infrastructure development lifecycle—from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, and deployment—while building automation solutions using Ansible and Python, defining CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring system reliability and compliance.
- • The role involves close collaboration with project managers, architects, and stakeholders to align technical delivery with platform roadmaps, lead technical teams, and drive solution architecture decisions that balance security, performance, and operational simplicity.
- • As a senior engineer, you will mentor team members, enforce coding standards, lead test planning and validation, and contribute to internal tooling decisions, gaining deep expertise in hybrid cloud environments, observability, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 5 years of application development experience, or 9 years of system engineering experience (including 8 years in CDW systems engineering, infrastructure automation, or DevOps roles).
- • Proficiency in Python for automation and system integration, with advanced knowledge of Ansible for role development, templating, inventory management, and custom modules.
- • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, along with strong understanding of Git workflows and pull request reviews at scale.
