📋 Description
- • Research technical characteristics of parts and products using SAP, customer or vendor websites, and other database tools to determine accurate import/export classifications.
- • Assign and enter Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the EU (HTS-EU) codes and Export Control Numbers (ECNs) for Jabil EMEA products and components under the supervision of the Assistant Trade Compliance Manager.
- • Create, manage, and maintain product research files including data entry, retrieval, and development to ensure comprehensive compliance documentation.
- • Sort, partition, extract, and add data items using SAP and Microsoft Excel, applying advanced functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP for accurate data manipulation.
- • Conduct audits and reviews of data entries to verify accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance with EU import/export regulations.
- • Perform administrative support tasks for the Global Trade Compliance Team, including file creation, documentation organization, and entry reviews.
- • Ensure all product classifications and export control information are updated timely and in alignment with current EU regulatory requirements.
- • Assist in preparing compliance reports and maintaining required documentation for internal and external audits.
- • Interpret and apply technical documentation such as data sheets and material specifications to inform correct tariff and export control classifications.
- • Support the Corporate Trade Compliance Team with ad hoc duties as needed to ensure seamless operations across EMEA trade compliance activities.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 2 years of experience in Import & Export classification
- • Knowledge of or experience with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Export Control Numbers (ECNs)
- • Confident written and verbal communication skills in English
- • Desired education in Engineering or a related technical field
- • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
- • Ability to read and understand technical documentation, including data sheets and material specifications
