📋 Description

• • As a Staff AI Enablement Engineer 4 at WEX Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s AI-native development platform by architecting automation frameworks and enabling standardized, secure, and scalable software delivery across enterprise teams.
• • Day to day, you will design and develop automation frameworks for microservices using API Gateways, Service Mesh, and Containerization; build reference implementations for Spec Driven Development with AI tooling; evaluate emerging technologies; mentor teams on CI/CD, IaC, and DevOps best practices; lead incident response and root-cause analysis; and collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Security, and SRE teams to ensure compliance and high availability.
• • You will be part of the Shared Business Services team within Enterprise Architecture at WEX, a global leader in payment processing and fleet management solutions, where you’ll help build and scale the ‘Paved Road’ — a standardized platform of services and tooling that empowers development teams across the organization.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in AI-enabled DevOps, cloud-native architectures, and platform engineering while driving organizational standardization, influencing technology adoption, and gaining leadership experience in cross-functional technical initiatives that impact the entire enterprise.
