• As a Staff Backend Engineer at DualEntry, you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing the ERP landscape, a massive $220 billion market ripe for disruption. • Your primary responsibility will be to design and build robust, scalable backend systems, with a preference for Python. This involves creating APIs, services, and infrastructure capable of handling complex, real-time, and business-critical accounting logic. You will take features from conception to production, owning the entire lifecycle including the setup of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. This role demands a deep understanding of software development best practices and the ability to translate intricate finance workflows into performant, secure, and reliable systems.
• You will play a pivotal role in managing the inherent complexity of a business-logic-heavy product. This includes tackling significant data migrations, addressing scale challenges as our user base grows, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data. 🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in backend engineering, with a strong track record of designing and building complex, business-logic-heavy products.
• Deep experience with complex business logic products and managing data migrations and scale challenges.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Strong database skills, including PostgreSQL, SQL, ORMs, schema design, and managing database migrations.
• Ability to manage complex systems with evolving requirements and a solid understanding of software lifecycle, CI/CD, and production-readiness.
