• • Vanta is seeking a pioneering Staff Content Designer to join our growing Experience Design Organization. This is a unique opportunity to establish and elevate content design practices within a fast-paced, mission-driven company. As our first Staff Content Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how Vanta deeply understands and integrates customer needs into our product development lifecycle. Your work will not only involve high-impact design projects but also the crucial task of fostering a culture of empathy and customer-centricity across the entire organization. This role is instrumental in guiding Vanta's journey towards its mission of helping businesses earn and prove trust, ensuring security is continuously monitored and verified.
• • In this highly visible and strategic position, you will be instrumental in defining and refining Vanta's content design strategy. You will focus on two key areas: enhancing our organizational content design practices and leading critical content design initiatives that yield strategic customer insights. Your responsibilities will span collaborating closely with Product Managers, the Operations team, Customer Success Managers (CSMs), and Account Managers (AMs) to architect robust programs that deliver actionable insights. These insights will empower Vanta to better engage with customers and make data-informed decisions about our product offerings.
• • You will be tasked with developing scalable systems, comprehensive coaching programs, and effective rituals that seamlessly embed content design principles into the daily workflows of our teams. Furthermore, you will spearhead strategic projects that directly influence the direction of our AI and Self-Serve product development, ensuring they align with customer needs and enhance the overall platform experience. A significant part of your role will involve scaling our nascent content design capabilities, providing expert guidance on team growth, work delegation, and the establishment of best practices.
• • The ideal candidate possesses a proven history of crafting exceptional B2B SaaS experiences, particularly within complex or technical product landscapes. You are adept at navigating ambiguity, fostering seamless collaboration with Design, Product, and Engineering teams, and translating intricate problems into clear, actionable strategies. Equally important is your passion for enabling others – whether through mentoring junior team members, developing innovative tools and processes, or cultivating a pervasive sense of curiosity and customer focus throughout the organization.
• • Your contributions will directly impact Vanta's ability to deliver on its promise of continuous security monitoring and verification. You will help translate complex security concepts into clear, user-friendly content that empowers businesses to achieve and demonstrate trust with confidence. This involves understanding the nuances of compliance standards like SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001, and ensuring our product's content effectively guides users through these critical processes.

• • Translating complex technical and security concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly language for a diverse range of stakeholders and users.
• • Championing a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the content design function and across the broader product team.
• • Collaborating with AI and Machine Learning teams to explore and implement innovative content solutions that enhance user experience and product efficacy.
• • Developing and maintaining content design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all Vanta products and communications.
• • Acting as a thought leader in content design, advocating for user needs and best practices within the company and potentially the broader industry.
