- • As a Staff DevOps Engineer - Security, you will play a critical role in enhancing system reliability, performance, and security by applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and platform engineering expertise to protect A Place for Mom’s infrastructure and applications.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include performing vulnerability assessments, designing and implementing security solutions, monitoring and responding to security alerts from tools like AWS Security Hub and SIEM, triaging and investigating security incidents, and integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines to enable secure-by-default practices.
- • You will collaborate with DevOps and development teams to automate security testing, analyze security metrics such as mean time to remediation, and lead the enforcement of security standards aligned with frameworks like NIST and ISO.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud security (AWS), infrastructure as code, application security, and security operations while influencing organizational security culture through education, advocacy, and cross-functional collaboration.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong knowledge and 5+ years’ experience in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- • In-depth knowledge of AWS environments and their security services, including experience with AWS Containerization like Fargate
- • Proficiency in scripting with Powershell, Bash, AWS CLI, CloudFormation, and Terraform, along with familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and IAC tools
- • Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST and ISO, application security (OWASP Top 10), and vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Snyk, Veracode, Burp Suite)
- • Ability to communicate complex security issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and work effectively independently or as part of a team
