- • As a Staff DevOps Engineer at Bluefish AI, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructure that powers AI-driven marketing products for Fortune 500 clients, directly enabling reliable software delivery in a fast-growing, remote-first UK-based engineering team.
- • You will architect and maintain AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform), implement and improve CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions, enforce infrastructure governance (IAM, access control, security policies), and drive observability and incident response to ensure system resilience across React, Next.js, and Python-based services.
- • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering and product teams to define infrastructure requirements, mentor junior engineers on DevOps best practices, and lead security and compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) to support audit readiness and regulatory alignment.
- • You will proactively monitor system performance, identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks (e.g., database scaling, networking), automate provisioning and recovery, and advocate for clean, scalable infrastructure design that enables engineering teams to move fast without compromising stability or security.
- • You will play a pivotal role in shaping Bluefish’s engineering culture by promoting craftsmanship, resourcefulness, and accountability, while gaining deep expertise in securing and scaling AI-native platforms in a high-impact, venture-backed startup environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering, preferably in a startup or product-focused environment with exposure to modern web stacks (React, Next.js, Python).
- • Deep expertise in AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, SQS, SNS) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), with strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
- • Strong experience with CI/CD tools, ideally GitHub Actions, and containerization/orchestration (Docker, ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
- • Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and system performance monitoring, including hands-on experience implementing compliance controls (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) and secrets management.
- • Ability to collaborate across teams, mentor engineers, and advocate for infrastructure standards, governance, and observability in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
