- • Lead the DevOps team within the Platform Service group to enable faster, safer engineering at tem by owning infrastructure, security posture, and tooling that supports reliable software delivery.
- • Drive adoption of internal tools and platforms by championing their use, removing friction, running enablement sessions, and ensuring engineering teams actually implement and benefit from delivered solutions.
- • Own technical direction for infrastructure and security, including architectural decisions on distributed, microservice, event-driven systems, while managing incident response, reliability, and capacity planning to reduce MTTR and improve operational health.
- • Collaborate with Platform Service Lead, DevEx, and QA team leads to align priorities, manage dependencies, and maintain coherence across the service while enabling product teams to own their infrastructure through self-serve tooling and guardrails.
- • Contribute hands-on by writing and reviewing infrastructure code, managing backlogs, translating stakeholder needs into actionable requirements, and fostering a culture of proactive improvement over reactive firefighting.
- • Help establish team rhythms, close critical infrastructure gaps, and shift engineering culture toward self-serve ownership using DORA metrics and tools like GetDX and Vanta to measure success.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Staff or Senior DevOps / Platform / Infrastructure Engineer in a high-growth environment.
- • Deep expertise in managing distributed, microservice, event-driven architectures from both infrastructure and security perspectives.
- • Strong AWS experience with ability to become productive quickly; familiarity with GCP, Azure, and serverless patterns (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway) is expected.
- • Scripting proficiency in at least one language: Python, Node.js, Bash, or similar.
- • Track record of driving adoption of internal tooling by gathering requirements, shaping backlogs around real needs, and ensuring delivered solutions are actually used by engineering teams.
- • Experience managing delivery processes including backlog prioritization, capacity planning, and dependency management.
