📋 Description

• As a Staff DevOps Engineer on the Developer Infrastructure team at Luxury Presence, you will design and maintain the foundational systems that enable engineers and AI agents to deliver high-quality, production-ready code with confidence, directly impacting the company’s ability to scale its AI-powered real estate platform to $100M ARR.
• You will architect and operate pre-production environments on EKS and AWS, ensuring they accurately mirror production for reliable testing, while implementing automated quality gates that include load testing, performance validation, and security checks to prevent regressions before code reaches users.
• You will build and enhance agent-friendly local development environments and internal tooling that provide observability, operability, and feedback loops, reducing friction in the development lifecycle and enabling greater autonomy for both human engineers and AI-powered agents like Claude Code.
• You will collaborate with platform architects, product engineers, and AI teams to refine CI/CD pipelines, expand test coverage, and create self-service capabilities that improve deployment frequency and reduce mean time to recovery, supporting Luxury Presence’s rapid growth and innovation velocity.
• You will contribute to a culture of engineering excellence by establishing best practices around infrastructure as code, monitoring, and incident response, ensuring the developer platform remains resilient, secure, and scalable as the company expands its real estate AI offerings across North America.
• You will help shape the future of developer experience at a high-growth Series C company backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, where your work directly enables over 87,000 real estate professionals — including top-performing agents — to run and grow their businesses using Luxury Presence’s platform.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, with deep expertise in Kubernetes (EKS preferred), AWS core services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC), and modern CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
• Proven ability to design and implement automated quality gates, including performance/load testing frameworks (e.g., k6, Locust, Gatling) and validation pipelines that ensure code correctness before production deployment.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code skills using Terraform or CloudFormation, with experience managing complex, multi-environment setups and enforcing policy-as-code (e.g., OPA, Sentinel) for security and compliance.
• Experience building internal developer tools or platforms that improve observability, debugging, or workflow automation, ideally with exposure to AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of working closely with software engineers, architects, and product teams to translate technical requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
