📋 Description

• Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models including Entity-Relationship (ER) models, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault Modeling, and Dimensional Modeling for large-scale healthcare data warehouses.
• Lead the design of normalized and denormalized data structures to optimize performance of Data Warehouses and Data Marts while aligning with business requirements.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to map business needs to data models, ensuring clear definition and implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) processes and Golden Record practices.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive Business Glossary and Data Dictionary to standardize terminology and ensure consistency across organizational data assets.
• Ensure accurate definition, visualization, and documentation of data lineage across the entire data warehouse environment from source to destination.
• Oversee end-to-end data mapping processes to guarantee data integrity, transparency, and traceability throughout its lifecycle.
• Implement and enforce Data Governance frameworks covering data access, quality, security, compliance, and lifecycle management in alignment with healthcare regulations.
• Define and apply Data Quality standards including data cleansing, validation, and monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability of data within the warehouse.
• Design and deploy real-time data ingestion pipelines using Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or Snowpipe to enable streaming integration into the data warehouse.
• Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) mechanisms using Fivetran or AWS Lambda to efficiently capture and propagate changes from operational systems with low-latency processing.
• Develop and maintain data architecture on Snowflake integrated with AWS services for scalable and robust data management.
• Work with Data Engineers to automate data pipeline deployments and updates using Fivetran, DBT, and cloud-native tools.
• Create and present technical diagrams such as Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) to stakeholders to communicate architectural decisions and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for all data models, lineage, mappings, and architectural choices in accordance with organizational standards.
• Continuously evaluate and improve data modeling methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance scalability, flexibility, and performance of the analytics platform.
• Partner with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver optimal data architecture solutions.
• Contribute to proposal creation and RFP submissions by ensuring technical feasibility and adherence to industry best practices.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence in data modeling and architecture.
• Apply knowledge of healthcare-specific data standards including FHIR, HL7, ICD-10, and LOINC to ensure compliance and relevance in data modeling.
• Utilize tools such as Sigma Computing, Atlan, and Erwin ER Diagrams to support data modeling, visualization, and metadata management.
• Operate within an Agile methodology, managing multiple priorities while taking ownership of deliverables and ensuring timely execution.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling, data architecture, or information architecture with focus on large-scale data warehouses
• 10+ years of experience with dimensional models and relational database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, etc.)
• 5+ years of proven experience with modern data architectures and cloud technologies, especially AWS services and tools
• Experience with ETL tools and automation (e.g., Fivetran, DBT)
• Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, and metadata management
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
