📋 Description
- • Staff Full Stack Engineer - DevEx role focused on accelerating product delivery and enabling scale across developer experience and platform engineering initiatives at tem, a company rebuilding the energy transaction to make it transparent and fair by putting power back in customers' hands and tackling access to low-cost electricity.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting and delivering end-to-end systems for internal developer tooling and platform services, improving and extending core platforms and developer experience tooling, rapidly prototyping new workflows and automation to improve engineering productivity, collaborating cross-functionally with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver platform solutions, and raising the technical bar through code reviews, mentorship, and championing engineering best practices.
- • tem is rebuilding the global energy market with AI-native transaction infrastructure to cut inefficient fees, automate complex market flows, and bring transparency and fairness to energy transactions at scale; after a $75M Series B in late 2025, the company is scaling internationally with its RED product already facilitating thousands of business customers and billions in energy transaction value.
- • In this role, you will lead the development of systems and tooling that redefine how engineering teams build, deploy, and operate software, improve engineering velocity, reliability, and observability, and lay the groundwork for rapid, sustainable growth while gaining deep impact on platform engineering and developer experience in a high-growth, mission-driven scale-up.
🎯 Requirements
- • Track record in fast-paced environments: Experience as a Senior or Staff Engineer in a high-growth startup or scale-up, with a strong bias toward shipping.
- • System design at scale: Proven ability to design and build complex systems, platforms, and developer tooling that support engineering teams at scale.
- • Modern tech expertise: Deep experience with Python, Node.js, and AWS serverless architecture (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).
- • Front-end capabilities: Skilled in developing responsive, performant front-ends using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
- • Product-minded mindset: Experience working closely with product and engineering teams to solve developer and operational problems, not just deliver features.
- • Can deal with ambiguity: Comfortable navigating changing priorities and incomplete information to make strong technical decisions.
