đź“‹ Description
- • As a Staff/Lead Security Engineer at Mimica Automation Ltd., you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling the company’s security program from the ground up, directly contributing to the protection of its AI-powered task mining platform that helps enterprises reclaim time and work more efficiently.
- • You will own critical security initiatives end-to-end, working closely with engineering teams to harden the cloud-native SaaS platform, significantly raising the overall security posture in a high-impact, high-autonomy environment ideal for self-starters.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the build-out and operation of core security capabilities such as vulnerability management, patching, SIEM/logging, cloud security monitoring, and alert triage; deploying, configuring, and tuning security tooling including scanners, WAFs, CSPM, SIEM, and endpoint protection; partnering with engineering to embed security at the application and cloud levels with developer experience in mind; triaging and assessing vulnerabilities, driving remediation prioritization, and reducing risk through pragmatic yet rigorous processes; designing and implementing tactical incident-response playbooks and improving detection coverage; reviewing major architectural changes to guide engineering on secure design trade-offs; and continuously improving processes to ensure security scales with company growth.
- • You will join a fast-growing scale-up where the InfoSec team is being established, reporting to the Head of InfoSec and collaborating with another Security Engineer as a peer, offering a unique opportunity to shape security strategy and culture in a dynamic, innovative environment focused on transforming work through AI and automation.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud security (particularly GCP, AWS, or Azure), gain hands-on experience preparing for compliance frameworks like SOC2 and ISO 27001, and develop leadership capabilities by independently managing end-to-end security programs in a startup/scale-up context, positioning you for long-term growth in cybersecurity leadership.
🎯 Requirements
- • Senior+/Lead/Staff experience (typically 7+ years) in security engineering or SecOps, with a strong preference for hands-on roles in startup or scale-up environments.
- • Strong expertise in Application Security (AppSec) or Cloud Security (CloudSec), with proven ability to independently deploy and manage cloud security solutions, especially in GCP (a big plus), AWS, or Azure.
- • Deep expertise in one or more of the following: vulnerability management programs, cloud-native SIEM/logging, CSPM/CNAPP tools, IaC security, secure SDLC integration, and incident response.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Generous compensation + stock options aligned with internal framework, market data, and individual skills.
- • Fully distributed work model: work from anywhere — fully remote, in company hubs, or a hybrid setup.
- • Company-issued laptop, remote setup stipend, and co-working budget to support your home office.
- • Flexible schedules and location, ample paid time off in addition to local public holidays, and enhanced parental leave.
- • Health & retirement benefits, annual learning & development budget, and regular virtual & in-person socials including annual workaways.
- • Opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects that shape the future of work through AI-powered process intelligence and automation.
