- ⢠As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Bloomreach Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI-driven personalization by designing and implementing cutting-edge machine learning and generative AI algorithms that power search, recommendation, and behavioral insights for over 1,400 global brands. Your work will directly impact how businesses connect with customers through autonomous search, conversational shopping, and autonomous marketing, all powered by Bloomreachâs proprietary Loomi AI engine, ensuring consistent and intelligent personalization across industries including retail, financial services, hospitality, and gaming.
- ⢠You will design, develop, and enhance ML/AI models focused on search and recommendation systems, process large-scale historical data, search queries, product catalogs, and images to extract meaningful features and hidden relationships, conduct research on state-of-the-art ML techniquesâespecially deep learning and generative AIâand rapidly prototype proofs of concept. You will collaborate closely with data engineers and senior data scientists to integrate and scale ML components into production systems capable of handling terabytes of data, while continuously staying current through research paper reading and participation in AI/ML conferences.
- ⢠You will join a centralized, globally distributed data science team spanning multiple geographies, responsible for the core AI modules that power all Bloomreach products including Search Relevance, Recommendation, User Personalization, User Segmentation, Content Intelligence, and Conversational Commerce. The team fosters innovation through autonomy, trust, and a results-driven culture, where freedom is balanced with accountability and employees are empowered to drive impact from day one.
- ⢠In this role, you will deepen your expertise in generative AI, large language models, and advanced ML techniques while contributing to industry-leading algorithms in commerce AI. You will have the opportunity to influence the technical direction of Bloomreachâs AI engine, publish insights internally, mentor peers, and grow into a technical leader shaping the next generation of autonomous customer experiences.
đŻ Requirements
- ⢠BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with a strong mathematical foundation and excellent programming skills, primarily in Python
- ⢠8+ years of experience building ML-driven, fast, and scalable analytical algorithms in a corporate or startup environment
- ⢠Strong understanding of machine learning and NLP technologies including classification, information retrieval, clustering, knowledge graphs, semi-supervised learning, and ranking
- ⢠Excellent exploratory data analysis skills with proficiency in slicing and dicing data at scale using SQL in Redshift or BigQuery
- ⢠Exposure to deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow) and techniques such as representation/transfer learning, RNN/LSTM, and Transformers
- ⢠Experience working with Big Data in cloud-based production environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- ⢠Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- ⢠Strong awareness of recent trends in Generative AI and LLMs; hands-on experience with GenAI stack is a strong plus
