- • Join SonicWall, a pioneering cybersecurity leader with over three decades of experience, as a Staff NOC Analyst in our Bengaluru, Karnataka, India office. We are a partner-first company dedicated to empowering our partners and their customers in the relentless fight against cybercrime. Our innovative solutions provide real-time security across cloud, hybrid, and traditional environments, protecting against the most sophisticated cyberattacks targeting increasingly remote, mobile, and cloud-enabled users.
- • As a Staff NOC Analyst, you will be the critical first line of defense for our enterprise infrastructure, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the unwavering stability and performance of our networks, systems, and cloud platforms. This role is centered on real-time operational excellence, demanding sharp focus on monitoring, rapid triage, and swift incident resolution. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our services, safeguarding against disruptions, and upholding the high standards our clients expect.
- • Your primary responsibilities will revolve around proactive monitoring and responsive incident management. You will leverage advanced monitoring tools such as New Relic, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, or similar platforms to meticulously observe network infrastructure, cloud environments, and critical applications. Your vigilance will extend to tracking performance metrics, ensuring availability, and identifying potential security alerts. When an issue arises, you will act as the immediate first responder, performing initial troubleshooting to diagnose the root cause and working diligently to restore services as quickly as possible. A key aspect of this role involves rigorous alert validation, where you will expertly triage incoming alerts to accurately assess their impact, effectively filtering out false positives to reduce noise and focus on genuine threats.
- • Furthermore, you will maintain a keen security awareness, actively looking for operational symptoms that might indicate a security incident, such as unusual network traffic patterns. Upon detection, you will promptly escalate these findings to the Security Operations Center (SOC) in strict accordance with established security protocols, contributing to the overall security posture of SonicWall.
- • Beyond immediate incident response, the Staff NOC Analyst is integral to routine operations and system maintenance. You will be adept at executing predefined runbooks and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with precision and consistency. These documented processes are designed to efficiently handle common incidents and execute routine tasks, ensuring a standardized and reliable approach to system management. A significant part of your daily duties will include monitoring scheduled backups and critical batch processes, swiftly identifying any stalled jobs, and taking immediate corrective actions to prevent data loss or service interruptions.
- • During planned maintenance windows, you will be responsible for monitoring system stability, ensuring that all operations proceed without unexpected issues. Post-maintenance, you will conduct thorough validation of system health to confirm that all changes have been implemented successfully and have not introduced any adverse impacts. Routine health checks on servers, routers, and switches will also be part of your remit, ensuring that redundancy systems, such as failover mechanisms and load balancers, are functioning optimally and are ready to take over if needed.
- • Effective communication and meticulous documentation are paramount in this role. You will be responsible for accurately documenting all incident details, categorizing them appropriately, and recording the resolution steps taken within our ticketing system. When complex problems arise that extend beyond the scope of Level 1 support, you will expertly identify these issues and escalate them to senior engineers or specialized teams, such as CloudOps or SRE, adhering strictly to defined escalation pathways. Your contribution to reporting will also be valuable, as you will assist in generating daily and weekly operational reports that highlight network health, performance trends, and key incident metrics, providing crucial insights for continuous improvement.
- • This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of cybersecurity operations, contributing to a company that is committed to innovation and relentless security. If you are a proactive problem-solver with a passion for maintaining robust IT infrastructure and thrive in a dynamic, 24/7 operational environment, we encourage you to apply and become a vital part of the SonicWall team.
