- • As Binti's first Principal Security Engineer (Applications focused), you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our software applications, reporting directly to the CTO and working alongside full-stack engineers to uphold secure coding standards and protect sensitive data.
- • You will conduct regular security assessments, including code audits, penetration testing, and threat modeling; respond to security incidents; improve security architecture; set security standards; and mentor development teams to foster a security-aware culture.
- • Binti is a mission-driven, for-profit software company based in San Francisco, serving state and county government agencies in child welfare and social services, with a goal to help every child have a safe, loving, and stable family; we’ve supported over 49% of the nation’s child welfare system and are backed by Founders Fund, First Round Capital, and Kapor Capital.
- • In this role, you will lead efforts to scale security practices through automation and mentorship, contribute to hiring and team strategy, represent security to leadership, and directly impact the protection of Personal Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) while advancing our mission to rewire government for greater equity and opportunity.
