- • As a Staff Product Design Engineer at Sony Interactive Entertainment, you will drive mechanical design for PlayStation products, shaping the future of gaming hardware from concept to production.
- • Day to day, you will develop mechanical architectures from the ground up, take technical ownership of systems and components, lead cross-functional collaboration with industrial design, program management, operations, quality, and manufacturing teams, manage CAD databases and design validation, anticipate manufacturing challenges, and map engineering activities with dependencies.
- • You will join a small, agile team within SIE that operates like a startup inside a global leader in entertainment, where innovation, diversity, and passion for technology and play are core values.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in high-volume consumer product design, strengthen leadership and communication skills, gain end-to-end product development experience, and influence both technical strategy and execution while working on iconic PlayStation hardware.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field or equivalent work experience
- • 10+ years of experience leading mechanical design for high-volume small consumer products
- • Strong foundation in first principles of mechanical design and best practices
- • Independent, self-motivated, with outstanding communication skills
- • Experience building small consumer products in large volumes
- • Hands-on capability in creative prototyping for low and high-fidelity assessment
