📋 Description

• As a Staff Product Designer at Jerry Technologies Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual and experiential identity of an AI-powered platform that simplifies car ownership for millions of Americans. Your work will directly influence how users interact with insurance, financing, safety, and repair services, transforming a traditionally fragmented and stressful process into a seamless, trusted experience.
• You will lead end-to-end design initiatives for core product areas including insurance, safety, repairs, and emerging features, taking concepts from 0→1 and ensuring they are both innovative and grounded in user needs. This involves collaborating with research, product, and data teams to uncover insights, translating them into intuitive interfaces, and measuring impact through engagement and retention metrics.
• A key responsibility will be evolving Jerry’s design system to ensure visual consistency, scalability, and excellence across mobile and web platforms. You’ll establish patterns, components, and guidelines that empower engineering teams to ship high-quality work efficiently while maintaining a cohesive brand language.
• You’ll partner closely with Kruise Sapstein (Head of Design) and Art Agrawal (CEO & Head of Product), contributing to a high-craft, high-impact design culture within a product organization of 11 product managers, 55 engineers, and 12 analysts/data scientists. Your influence will extend beyond pixels to shaping how Jerry tells its story through clarity, speed, and emotional resonance.
• In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to apply AI thoughtfully to personalize and accelerate user experiences—making car ownership feel effortless, proactive, and supportive. You’ll raise the bar for UX and visual design by championing craft, accessibility, and delight in every interaction.
• Over time, you’ll help define what great design means at Jerry, leaving a lasting legacy on the product’s evolution and setting a standard for excellence that will guide future design decisions as the company scales toward its $10B vision.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design, thoughtful UX, and shipped consumer products at scale across mobile and web platforms.
• Proven ability to own design projects end-to-end—from research and ideation through prototyping, testing, launch, and post-launch iteration—driving measurable outcomes in user engagement and retention.
• Experience building and evolving design systems in close collaboration with engineering teams to ensure consistency, scalability, and technical feasibility.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams around design decisions and articulate the rationale behind complex solutions.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and delivering high-quality work quickly without sacrificing craft or user-centered principles.
• Bonus: Experience in marketplaces, fintech, mobility, or insurance industries is preferred but not required.
