• Join Jerry.Ai as a Staff Product Designer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of car ownership for millions. Jerry is revolutionizing the $2 trillion automotive industry by creating the first AI-powered assistant for car owners, making the entire experience of buying, insuring, financing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles seamless and affordable. Since our launch in 2019, over 5 million individuals have entrusted Jerry with their car-related needs, and we've achieved profitability in 2024 with $240 million in funding, positioning us for a $10 billion valuation by 2030. We have a strong functional product; now, we need exceptional design to elevate our brand and user experience.
• This role is crucial for realizing our vision of making Jerry feel like a trusted, intuitive friend in every user's pocket. As a Staff Product Designer, you will be instrumental in defining the look, feel, and functionality of Jerry, setting the standard for design excellence at scale. You will lead design initiatives from conception to launch, significantly improving design quality across all our products and influencing how we communicate our value through meticulous craft and clear communication. Your contributions will directly impact the daily lives of millions of users and establish the design direction for years to come.
• You will be responsible for leading the design of key products within Jerry's core offerings, including insurance, safety features, repair services, and future innovations. A significant part of your work will involve shipping brand-new, 0-to-1 features that modernize car care for the average driver, making complex processes simple and accessible.
• You will collaborate closely with our dedicated research, product management, and data science teams to identify user needs and market opportunities. Your role will involve translating these insights into impactful, user-centered design solutions that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional and engaging.
• A core objective will be to create elegant, frictionless user experiences that demonstrably increase user engagement and retention. This means meticulously crafting every interaction to be intuitive, efficient, and delightful, ensuring users find immense value in their daily interactions with Jerry.
• You will play a key role in building and evolving Jerry's comprehensive design system. This involves ensuring consistency, scalability, and visual excellence across all our platforms, empowering the entire product team to deliver high-quality experiences efficiently.
• A unique aspect of this role is the opportunity to thoughtfully integrate AI into our user experience. You will explore and implement AI-driven features that make our platform faster, clearer, and more personalized, further solidifying Jerry's position as an intelligent assistant.
• You will be a champion for raising the bar in UX and visual design, focusing on clarity, speed, and exceptional craft. Your expertise will help define what best-in-class design looks like within the automotive ownership space.
• You will work directly with Kruise Sapstein, Head of Design, to build a high-performing, high-craft design culture, and collaborate with Art Agrawal, CEO & Head of Product, to shape the company's strategic direction and customer experience.
• You will be part of a dynamic product organization comprising 11 Product Managers, 55 Engineers, and 12 Analysts/Data Scientists, all united by a passion for building a best-in-class consumer experience.

🎯 Requirements

• A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional visual design, thoughtful UX, and successfully shipped consumer products at scale.
• 12+ years of product design experience (agency or in-house), with a preference for experience across both mobile and web platforms.
• Proven ability to own and drive projects end-to-end, from initial research and concept development through to launch and ongoing iteration.
• Experience in building, maintaining, and evolving design systems in close collaboration with engineering teams.
• Demonstrated comfort and success working in fast-paced, agile environments and consistently shipping high-quality work on tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to effectively align and influence cross-functional teams.
