📋 Description

• • As a Staff Product Engineer at Lawhive Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of legal technology by building the next evolution of an AI-native platform that is transforming how legal services are delivered globally. This role is critical to Lawhive’s mission of making the law accessible to everyone, leveraging cutting-edge AI and full-stack engineering to disrupt an industry long overdue for innovation.
• • You will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership of product features — from initial concept and design collaboration through development, testing, deployment, and production monitoring — working within a highly skilled, fast-paced engineering team of 40 engineers and researchers dedicated to building scalable, secure, and user-centric legal technology.
• • Your day-to-day will include participating in team standups, engaging in lawyer walkthroughs to deeply understand user needs, reviewing technical proposals, dedicating focused blocks to heads-down engineering work in a TypeScript-based monorepo, and contributing to fortnightly engineering deep-dives and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• • You will build and refine full-stack features using TypeScript for frontend and backend systems, Python for AI and data ingestion services, AWS for cloud infrastructure, Postgres for data storage, and Terraform for infrastructure as code, ensuring all work adheres to best practices in security, testing, and CI/CD.
• • Beyond coding, you will contribute to technical leadership by mentoring peers, assisting in hiring processes, advocating for code quality and architectural excellence, and helping define engineering standards that scale with the company’s rapid growth across the UK, US, and upcoming international markets.
