- • Architect and implement highly complex, cross-functional frontend systems that span multiple engineering domains, ensuring technical alignment and scalability across the organization.
- • Serve as the primary technical lead and subject matter expert for the frontend software ecosystem, setting the direction for code quality, design patterns, and operational excellence in React and TypeScript applications.
- • Drive the evolution of the frontend architecture by establishing long-term technical vision, promoting architectural integrity, and influencing engineering-wide adoption of best practices.
- • Lead and own the design and maintenance of a shared component library with primitive-based foundations, composition-first APIs, and Storybook-driven development workflows.
- • Collaborate closely with product and design teams by reading Figma files fluently, providing technical feedback on UI/UX flows, and ensuring polished user experiences through attention to loading, empty, and error states.
- • Champion accessibility as a baseline requirement, implementing WCAG 2.1 AA standards, managing keyboard navigation, focus order, and ARIA semantics across all frontend interfaces.
- • Mentor and sponsor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and career development support, raising the overall proficiency and efficiency of the engineering team.
- • Resolve critical technical debt and production incidents with urgency, ensuring system reliability and minimizing customer impact through rapid root-cause analysis and resolution.
- • Partner with backend teams to design and refine API contracts, understand data flow, latency, and authentication impacts on user experience, and ship full-stack changes when necessary.
- • Optimize frontend performance using Web Vitals, bundle analysis, and real-user monitoring (RUM) tools such as Datadog to deliver fast, responsive experiences.
- • Lead complex cross-team initiatives requiring coordination across multiple engineering functions, ensuring timely delivery, technical consistency, and resolution of systemic challenges.
- • Maintain a full-stack perspective by understanding how backend services, data models, and infrastructure decisions influence frontend architecture and user outcomes.
- • Act as a technical influencer across the organization, earning trust through expertise, clear communication, and the ability to drive consensus on technical trade-offs.
- • Contribute to agile software development processes, participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement efforts while adhering to high standards of engineering discipline.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in technical leadership, mentorship, and sponsorship
- • Deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable frontend systems using React and TypeScript in long-lived codebases
- • Proven ability to influence technical direction across multiple engineering teams
- • Full-stack perspective with experience in frontend architecture and understanding of backend systems impacting user experience
- • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- • Several years of experience in agile software development
