  • • You will be instrumental in developing sophisticated containerized (micro) services designed for a distributed, multi-tenant system. These services will process vast amounts of data, real-time events, and network telemetry originating from multiple public cloud environments.
  • • Your work will directly contribute to providing customers with real-time insights, critical visibility, and actionable security recommendations, empowering them to proactively identify and mitigate risks within their cloud infrastructure.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to own the entire software development lifecycle for critical features and subsystems. You will be involved from the initial stages of clarifying requirements, through designing robust solutions, defending your architectural choices to your peers, and finally delivering highly reliable and performant implementations.

You will guide their technical growth, foster their development as engineers, and help them become productive and valuable members of the team, contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

  • • Collaborate closely with Product Management to meticulously review and refine requirements, ensuring that the solutions we deliver not only meet but exceed our customers’ expectations and address their most pressing security needs.
  • • Cultivate a deep understanding of the fundamental problems our customers face. This will be achieved through active interaction with stakeholders, customers, and your peers, ensuring that our technical solutions are directly aligned with business objectives and user needs.
  • • Contribute to a dynamic engineering culture that values visionary leadership, autonomy, and ownership, fostering a collaborative environment where innovative ideas can flourish.
  • • Work with a cutting-edge technology stack that encompasses operating systems, distributed applications, and immersive UI/visualization tools, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in cybersecurity.
  • • Be part of a team that is actively shaping the future of cybersecurity, building world-class products that address the most significant threats facing the world today.
  • • This role requires a strong commitment to developing secure and scalable software solutions within a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • • You will have the opportunity to influence technical direction and architectural decisions for key components of Illumio's platform.
  • • Engage in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural planning sessions to ensure the highest standards of software quality and maintainability.
  • • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • • Gain exposure to a wide range of cloud technologies and security concepts, further enhancing your expertise in the cybersecurity domain.
  • • The position is based at our Sunnyvale, CA headquarters, requiring 5 on-site days per week, fostering strong team collaboration and in-person innovation.
