• As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge backend applications that power our real-time visibility platform. This role offers the chance to work on products used by many of the world's largest corporations, directly influencing how global supply chains operate. You will collaborate closely with a talented team of engineers, product managers, and AI specialists to enhance our platform's capabilities and deliver exceptional value to our customers.
• Your responsibilities will span the entire software development lifecycle. You will develop, test, and maintain robust backend applications, ensuring the delivery of clean, efficient, and well-documented code. A significant part of your role will involve designing and implementing sophisticated data models and database schemas to support our complex data requirements. You will also collaborate effectively with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration between backend services and the user interface, creating a cohesive and powerful user experience.

You will actively participate in code reviews, upholding stringent code quality standards and ensuring the reliability and maintainability of our codebase. Troubleshooting and debugging applications to resolve issues promptly will be a key aspect of your day-to-day work. A strong emphasis will be placed on implementing code with very high coverage of unit tests and component tests to guarantee stability and performance.
• Beyond individual contributions, you will act as a technical leader and mentor. You will cross-train peers and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team. You will work closely with the DevOps team to streamline the deployment and management of applications in production environments, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. • The ideal candidate possesses expert knowledge in software architecture, performance optimization, security best practices, and scalability. You should have a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles and be proficient in backend development languages and frameworks such as Java with Spring, GoLang, or Ruby on Rails. Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and Amazon Web Services is essential, as is familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB. While not strictly required, familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is beneficial. You should have a good grasp of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture, coupled with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team is crucial.
• You will also demonstrate strong knowledge of version control systems like Git (including branches, submodules, and rebasing) and Agile project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence. Experience with Agile Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) is expected. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration and knowledge sharing within a global team.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in designing, architecting, implementing, testing, profiling, releasing, and optimizing high-quality software/services, with a strong emphasis on backend development.
• Proficiency in at least one major backend programming language and framework, such as Java with Spring, GoLang, or Ruby on Rails.
• Solid experience with cloud platforms, specifically Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS), including deployment and management of applications.
• Strong understanding of database technologies, including relational databases like PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL databases like MongoDB, and experience designing database schemas.
• Expertise in Object-Oriented Programming principles, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills, with a meticulous approach to code quality and testing (unit, component).
• Strong knowledge of Git and Agile methodologies (JIRA, Confluence), with experience in Agile SDLC.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective collaboration in a global team environment.
