📋 Description

• As a Staff Software Engineer on the AI Platform team at CaptivateIQ, you will serve as the technical anchor and strategic leader responsible for defining the architecture, technical direction, and engineering standards for the company’s Agentic SDK—an internal developer platform that empowers product teams to build AI-powered features across the sales performance platform. This role is pivotal in shaping how AI is built, deployed, and scaled organization-wide, with direct impact on product innovation, engineering excellence, and long-term technical vision.
• You will drive alignment between product teams consuming the Agentic SDK and the platform capabilities your team builds, ensuring seamless integration, consistent quality, and scalable adoption. By leading through influence across engineering, product, and design leadership, you will establish best practices, mentor P4 engineers toward staff-level impact, and champion a culture of technical rigor, experimentation, and ownership that scales with the company’s growth.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with deep expertise in building scalable platforms, SDKs, or infrastructure used by multiple product teams.
• Proven experience in AI/ML systems, including familiarity with LLMs, agent architectures, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or model serving—hands-on implementation preferred.
• Strong background in distributed systems, API design, and platform engineering, with experience designing frameworks that balance flexibility, performance, and safety for internal consumers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical strategy and influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority, including senior engineers, product leaders, and architects.
• Experience mentoring and leveling up engineers, particularly guiding P4/IC4 engineers toward staff-level impact through coaching, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience is also acceptable.
