• • You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of growth initiatives in strategic international markets, helping to create the industry-leading standard for customer experience in the crypto space.
• • The Country Expansion team is characterized by its innovative and customer-centric approach, providing an environment where you can fuel your passion for building world-class products that drive cryptocurrency adoption.
• • For the initial six months, you will serve as a Tech Lead, focusing on hands-on technical projects and contributing directly to code development, demonstrating exemplary engineering practices.
• • Following this initial period, you will transition into a management role, leading and mentoring a team of engineers.
• • A significant portion of your time, at least 25%, will be dedicated to individual contribution, driving engineering quality and velocity through your technical expertise and leadership.
• • You will architect, build, and maintain high-performance backend services, primarily using Golang and gRPC, ensuring seamless integrations that enhance Coinbase's customer experience.
• • Act as a key technical advisor within the team, contributing to critical architectural decisions and fostering a culture that prioritizes high-quality code and robust engineering processes.
• • Collaborate closely with Product Management and other Engineering teams to ensure the successful design, delivery, and operation of complex, multi-tenanted, distributed systems at scale.
• • Partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including Country Directors and Customer Support, to define strategic product roadmaps and execute on international expansion plans.
• • Leverage your technical expertise to manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
• • Mentor and coach team members, guiding them in advanced system design techniques, best coding standards, and overall professional development.
• • Write clean, efficient, well-tested, and maintainable code that directly addresses customer needs and business objectives.
• • Contribute to the decomposition of large monolithic systems into scalable microservices, enhancing system flexibility and maintainability.
• • Drive technical excellence and innovation within the team, encouraging exploration of new technologies and methodologies to solve challenging problems.
• • Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to the operational excellence of the services you and your team own.
