📋 Description

• As a Staff Software Engineer (Backend) on the Customer Platform team at Chainguard, you will design and build backend services and public APIs that power critical customer-facing capabilities across multiple product lines, directly impacting how enterprises and AI agents securely use open source software.
• Day to day, you will own features from design through implementation and rollout, collaborate closely with Product and Experience teams to ship iteratively, extend agentic AI foundations into product experiences, and ensure APIs are observable, resilient, and usable across diverse customer segments.
• Chainguard is a venture-backed leader in secure open source software, trusted by Fortune 500 enterprises and innovators like OpenAI, Snowflake, and Canva, operating with a customer-obsessed, bias-for-action culture that values transparency and psychological safety.
