• • As a Staff Software Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities will be multifaceted and challenging. You will be expected to build and ship product features end-to-end, taking ownership of the entire development lifecycle. A critical part of this role involves creating clear and well-defined design documentation, ensuring that architectural decisions and feature implementations are thoroughly planned and communicated. You will actively mentor fellow engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team. Leading application architecture decisions will be a core function, requiring you to guide the technical direction of projects and ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software bugs to maintain the high quality of our platform. Your technical contributions will include implementing back-end APIs using Node.JS and working on our Ember SPA front-end, requiring proficiency in JavaScript and related frameworks. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and product managers to bring product visions to life. You will participate actively in an Agile software development life cycle, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. A strong emphasis will be placed on writing well-designed, maintainable, and testable code, adhering to best practices and ensuring the long-term health of the codebase. Furthermore, you are expected to be product-minded, always considering the customer's needs and how your work creates value for them. Your technical stack will involve JavaScript, Node.JS, Ember (or other relevant frameworks), Python, and PostgreSQL.
