• • As a Staff Software Engineer (Platform) at Atlas HXM, you will be instrumental in strengthening and evolving the foundational systems and infrastructure that power our product teams. This pivotal role is dedicated to enhancing core platform capabilities, focusing on critical aspects such as reliability, scalability, performance, security, and the overall developer experience. You will tackle complex, cross-cutting technical challenges, significantly influence architectural direction, and provide essential support to engineering teams as Atlas HXM continues its rapid growth and scaling.
• • This is a hands-on, individual contributor position where you will wield broad technical ownership and exert considerable influence across the organization. Importantly, this role does not involve people management responsibilities, allowing you to focus entirely on technical leadership and execution.
• • Your primary responsibilities will include designing, building, and continuously evolving shared platform systems and infrastructure. You will take full ownership of intricate technical initiatives that may span multiple teams, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
• • A key aspect of this role is identifying systemic issues within our platform and driving efforts to address them at their root cause. You will play a crucial role in defining and contributing to platform standards, architectural patterns, and best practices, ensuring consistency and quality across our engineering efforts.
• • You will collaborate closely with engineering and product leaders to strategically prioritize platform investments, ensuring that our foundational technology evolves in alignment with business objectives and future needs.
• • When complex production issues arise, you will be called upon to provide expert support and guidance to the affected teams, leveraging your deep understanding of our systems.
• • You will actively mentor and support other engineers through code reviews, pair programming sessions, and collaborative problem-solving, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• • Maintaining a hands-on approach is essential; you will remain actively involved in critical code paths, core infrastructure components, and essential operational workflows, ensuring you have a deep, practical understanding of the systems you are responsible for.

• • While not strictly required, experience with distributed systems, developer tooling, cost optimization, or automation would be highly beneficial and add significant value to your contributions.
