• • **Understanding and reducing the Cost of Quality (CoQ):** We are developing a robust and trustworthy model to identify the sources of quality costs, such as defects, rework, incidents, and manual checks. The insights gained will be used to significantly reduce waste and mitigate risks over time.
• • **Scaling quality across diverse markets and locales:** As Monzo expands internationally, we need scalable solutions to validate correctness, localization, and customer experience without relying on manual, market-specific Quality Assurance. This involves addressing localization QA challenges at scale and maintaining confidence as products span multiple countries, currencies, and languages.
• • **Building confidence through signal, not ceremony:** Empowering teams to clearly understand where strong quality signals exist and where they are lacking for critical customer journeys. The objective is not to increase the number of tests, but to ensure the right signals are present in the right places to facilitate fast and confident delivery.

• • **As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be a technical leader (IC) with broad influence.** You will collaborate with various teams to drive Monzo's growth and technological advancement. Your responsibilities will include:
