📋 Description
- • As a Staff Software Engineer on the Productivity team at Airwallex, you will lead the planning, design, and architecture of developer tooling and infrastructure that enables the engineering organization to move faster, ship with higher quality, and operate more efficiently.
- • You will define domain-level technical strategy, own end-to-end delivery of complex systems, and work cross-functionally to identify productivity bottlenecks and architect scalable solutions that impact hundreds of engineers globally.
- • The Engineering Productivity team sits within Infrastructure & Productivity and builds internal platforms, tooling, and CI/CD infrastructure serving a globally distributed engineering organization across 26 offices, with a focus on developer experience, automation, and engineering excellence.
- • You will have the opportunity to shape how Airwallex engineers build, test, and ship software at scale, drive AI-powered developer productivity strategies, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and mentor engineers while raising the technical bar across the domain.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, or platform infrastructure at scale.
- • Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, Kotlin, Rust, or Node.js and their corresponding frameworks.
- • Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Aliyun) and infrastructure management tools (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker).
- • Strong system design skills with the ability to define and own technological strategy for a team or domain, making sound architectural decisions balancing performance, scalability, maintainability, and cost.
- • Experience leveraging AI/ML tools or LLM integration to enhance developer workflows, automate code review, or accelerate engineering productivity (preferred).
- • Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, ELK) and messaging systems like Kafka, with a track record of operating production infrastructure (preferred).
