- • As a Staff Technical Writer at Pinecone Systems Inc., you will play a critical role in enabling developers, ML engineers, and technical architects to successfully build and deploy AI applications using Pinecone’s vector database platform by creating clear, accurate, and accessible documentation.
- • You will plan and write technical guides, API references, client documentation, walkthroughs, and sample applications for users of all experience levels, while contributing to the information architecture and user experience of the developer portal.
- • You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Developer Advocacy teams to gather insights, document new features, and ensure documentation meets real user needs through qualitative and quantitative feedback.
- • You will establish and maintain a continuous improvement cycle for documentation, leveraging analytics and user research to enhance clarity, usability, and effectiveness over time.
- • You will work with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, helping scale documentation efforts as Pinecone’s customer base and product complexity expand rapidly.
- • You will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in cutting-edge AI infrastructure, vector databases, and ML tooling while refining your ability to communicate complex technical concepts with precision and clarity.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience planning, researching, writing, and editing technical documentation for developers in a startup environment.
- • Experience using and documenting SDKs, APIs, and similar tools.
- • Proficiency with static site generators, version control, managing docs as code, OpenAPI, and documentation platforms such as Redocly or Readme.
- • Superb writing skills with an obsession for clarity, accuracy, and simplicity.
- • Curiosity, thoroughness, organization, enthusiasm, and self-direction.
- • Preferred but not required: Experience with databases, machine learning, or search technologies.
- • Preferred but not required: Experience creating diagrams and video tutorials.
