📋 Description

• As a Staff UX Researcher on the North team at Cohere Inc., you will establish the research practice from the ground up to ensure product teams receive timely, actionable insights that drive intuitive and usable AI-powered experiences.
• You will design and operationalize research systems and frameworks, lead end-to-end research initiatives, support lighter-weight projects through consultation, empower the FDE team with UXR tools, and help PMs define hypotheses and interpret analytics.
• Cohere is a team of world-class researchers, engineers, and designers passionate about scaling intelligence to serve humanity through frontier AI models used in content generation, semantic search, RAG, and agents.
• In this role, you will shape how enterprise users adopt and derive value from AI products, build scalable research infrastructure, and advance your expertise in applying UX research to technically complex, enterprise-facing AI systems.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience conducting qualitative and quantitative UX research with a track record of translating findings into product decisions
• Experience establishing research infrastructure from scratch, including repositories, templates, research ops, or engagement models
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate insights into the product lifecycle
• Strong communication and synthesis skills to distill complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working with enterprise customers and engaging directly with end users via interviews, in-person sessions, or on-site engagements
• Familiarity with AI concepts and enterprise software; experience with AI products or agentic systems is a plus
