📋 Description

• As a Staff UX Researcher on the MetaMask team, you will own and lead the end-to-end research process for complex product areas spanning trading, personal finance, perpetuals, predictions, RWAs, sports betting, saving, remittances, and crypto spending, generating decision-quality insights that de-risk bets, shape product strategy, and accelerate execution across multiple product surfaces.
• You will plan, design, and execute full-cycle mixed-methods research (discovery, evaluative, generative, strategic) using qualitative and quantitative methods, select and tailor appropriate techniques (interviews, diary studies, usability tests, surveys, concept testing) to answer high-priority questions, deliver timely insights aligned with product milestones, and communicate findings compellingly to audiences ranging from individual contributors to executives via presentations, workshops, artifacts, dashboards, and narratives.
• You will partner with Product, Design, Marketing, Data, and Engineering leads to define research questions and success criteria, translate complex findings into actionable recommendations that influence roadmaps and UX decisions, identify trade-offs and opportunities grounded in user behavior, and champion user-centered thinking in planning and prioritization forums.
• You will work across product lanes with other UX Researchers to uncover shared user needs and systemic UX issues, help maintain a Continuous Discovery program, contribute to Designer Enablement by training designers, PMs, and marketers to self-serve evaluative research, and mentor researchers and cross-functional partners in sharpening research questions, methods, and interpretation.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on UX research experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or staff-level role driving strategy in complex product areas.
• Deep experience with mixed methods research: strong qualitative craft and working knowledge of quantitative techniques, including survey design and basic statistics.
• Demonstrated success owning end-to-end research for multi-surface or multi-product ecosystems, ideally in fintech, trading, or similarly complex financial domains.
• Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and shaping product roadmaps through research in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Ability to translate nuanced, sometimes conflicting data into clear, prioritized recommendations.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to leadership and broad, cross-functional audiences.
