- • The SOW Writer at Defy Security Inc. plays a critical role in creating, editing, and maintaining Statements of Work (SOWs) that drive the execution of Professional Services offerings for internal and external clients, ensuring contractual clarity and project success.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a high volume of SOWs and deadlines, reviewing documents for completeness and compliance, collaborating with Sales, Services Operations, vendors, and Project Managers, and maintaining templates for improved readability and usability.
- • Defy Security is a fast-growing, Great Place to Work®-certified cybersecurity company focused on reducing complexity and enabling smarter security decisions through vendor-neutral expertise and a culture of teamwork, innovation, and initiative.
- • In this role, the SOW Writer will develop expertise in professional services contracting, enhance technical and business writing skills, gain experience with CRM and document management tools, and contribute to process improvement while working cross-functionally under pressure.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Communication, Journalism, English, or related field; or 4+ years’ equivalent work experience
- • 2+ years of professional writing experience, with technical writing strongly preferred
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- • Proficiency with Salesforce, SharePoint, Outlook, Smartsheet, Teams, Zoom, or WebEx
- • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines
- • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and work independently with a sales-oriented, urgent mindset
