Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end M&A and strategic-partnership pipeline for one of the fastest-growing AI infrastructure companies on the planet. You will sit at the intersection of venture capital, corporate development, and product strategy, sourcing proprietary deals that directly influence a $1 B ARR trajectory and a publicly traded market cap.
- • Source and screen 150–200 AI/ML startups per quarter, using a rigorous framework that balances technical differentiation (GPU utilization, model-training efficiency, compiler-level innovation) with commercial traction (ARR, pipeline, hyperscaler alignment). You will maintain a living database of 500+ targets, tagging each by technology vector, talent density, and strategic fit.
- • Build deep, trust-based relationships with tier-1 VCs (a16z, Sequoia, Index, etc.) and emerging micro-funds to secure first-look rights and off-market opportunities. Expect to spend 40 % of your time on the road—SF, NYC, Boston, Tel-Aviv—hosting founder roundtables, demo-day office hours, and private “reverse pitch” sessions.
- • Lead preliminary technical diligence alongside our Distinguished Engineers: run GPU micro-benchmarks, review CUDA kernels, and validate distributed-training topologies. You will translate technical findings into concise investment memos that quantify revenue synergies, cost-to-integrate, and 3-year IRR scenarios.
- • Structure and negotiate term sheets for acquisitions ($10 M–$250 M), joint go-to-market agreements, and strategic OEM partnerships. You will model earn-outs, retention cliffs, and IP carve-outs, presenting recommendations to the CEO, CFO, and Board in under 72 hours from first indication.
- • Design and launch a formal “Startup Catalyst Program” that offers portfolio companies early access to our GPU super-clusters, co-marketing credits, and joint customer pilots. You will define success KPIs (ARR influenced, GPU-hours consumed, technical integrations) and report quarterly impact to the executive staff.
- • Orchestrate cross-functional diligence squads—engineering, legal, finance, people, and security—to compress deal cycles from LOI to close to <60 days. You will own the integration playbook: org-chart mapping, retention packages, code-repo migration, and cultural onboarding for acquired teams ranging from 5 to 200 employees.
- • Track macro-market signals (NVIDIA roadmap, open-source frameworks, energy-efficiency mandates) and translate them into proactive deal themes. You will publish quarterly “AI Infrastructure Landscape” briefings that shape both internal strategy and external VC narratives.
- • Represent the company at major AI conferences (NeurIPS, GTC, re:Invent) and closed-door policy forums, evangelizing our mission to democratize AI infrastructure while discreetly scouting for acquisition or partnership opportunities.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years in venture capital, corporate development, investment banking, or strategic partnerships with a demonstrable record of closing AI/ML transactions
- • Proven ability to underwrite technical risk—comfort reading CUDA, PyTorch, or Kubernetes manifests and translating them into financial models
- • Advanced financial-modeling skills (DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution, earn-out scenarios) and fluency with cap-table management tools
- • Deep, active network within the U.S. and global VC ecosystem; ability to source proprietary deals outside of banker-led processes
- • Authorization to work full-time in the United States without visa sponsorship
🏖️ Benefits
- • Total compensation package of $250 K–$400 K (base + bonus + RSUs), negotiable and reviewed semi-annually
- • 100 % employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees, spouses, and dependents
- • 20 weeks fully paid parental leave for primary caregivers; 12 weeks for secondary caregivers
- • 401(k) with 4 % dollar-for-dollar match, immediate vesting, plus mega-backdoor Roth option
- • Monthly $85 mobile/internet stipend, annual $2,000 learning & conference budget, and flexible PTO
