- • The Systems Administrator IV at Ryder System, Inc. plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise-level server and application infrastructure across hybrid and cloud environments. This senior technical position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex multi-platform systems that support Ryder’s logistics, transportation, and supply chain operations, directly impacting business continuity and service delivery for thousands of users and systems nationwide.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and participating in complex, cross-functional projects involving client-server technologies; designing and deploying highly available Linux, Windows, and UNIX systems in production and cloud environments; monitoring and analyzing system performance and availability metrics to optimize uptime; providing expert-level technical guidance to applications development and operations teams; mentoring and training junior administrators; developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for implementation, testing, backup, and disaster recovery procedures; managing data storage subsystems and shared computing environments; applying ITIL and ITSM best practices to improve service delivery; and ensuring seamless user access to network resources such as email, printers, and internet services.

🎯 Requirements
- • Eight (8) or more years of progressively responsible experience in data processing, server administration, system management software, hardware, and operating system support.
- • Demonstrated intermediate-level knowledge in designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining multiple Linux, Windows, and UNIX systems in high-availability production or cloud environments.
- • Possess in-depth, advanced knowledge of multi-platform computer software and hardware, including integration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management across diverse enterprise environments.
