📋 Description

• The Systems Administrator Grad role is an entry-level position focused on learning and supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments under senior DBA guidance, ideal for candidates starting their career in database administration.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring SQL Server instances, performing health checks, responding to alerts, assisting with backups and restores, supporting routine maintenance, handling incidents via ticketing tools, and maintaining documentation and runbooks.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 0–1 year of experience in IT support, database support, or related roles
• Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL, including SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, simple joins and filters
• Basic awareness of databases and tables, backups and restores, and database availability and performance at a high level
• Basic understanding of Windows Server and RDBMS concepts (tables, indexes, constraints, joins)
• Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts and on-call support, including 24×7 shift rotations
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in database administration
• Basic problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Good communication skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
