📋 Description

• As a Senior Systems Administrator at Web.com Group, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the company’s cloud and on-premises infrastructure, directly enabling millions of small businesses worldwide to establish and grow their online presence with confidence.
• You will administer and optimize Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and other cloud platforms, managing compute, storage, IAM, and networking resources to maintain high availability and scalability across global services supporting domain registration, website hosting, and business tools.
• You will automate infrastructure deployments and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines, reducing manual effort and increasing consistency across environments while enabling rapid, safe releases.
• You will monitor system health and performance using Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, and similar tools, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact users, and conducting root cause analysis for incidents involving Linux/Unix systems, databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and hardware.
• You will perform routine system maintenance, patching, and updates on Linux and Windows servers, ensuring compliance with security standards and minimizing vulnerabilities across web hosting stacks including cPanel, Exim, IIS, DNS, and Mailenable.
• You will write and maintain automation scripts in Bash, Python, or Ruby to streamline repetitive tasks such as log rotation, user provisioning, backup verification, and service health checks, improving operational efficiency.
• You will collaborate closely with development, security, and network teams to align infrastructure capabilities with application needs, contributing to a resilient, secure, and high-performing platform that powers Web.com’s suite of products for entrepreneurs and content creators.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator managing Linux and/or Windows server environments in production settings.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, TLS/SSL, and experience configuring and troubleshooting web servers, proxies (NGINX, HAProxy), and DDoS mitigation strategies.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform, and experience with automation platforms such as Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting in Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Hands-on experience administering and optimizing cloud platforms, with preference for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), but equivalent experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is acceptable.
• Proven ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance and availability issues using observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or Zabbix, including experience with database systems (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with web hosting control panels (cPanel), email systems (Exim, Mailenable), and Windows Server roles (IIS, DNS) is highly preferred.
