- • Lead the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines using Databricks (including Delta Live Tables / Lakeflow) on Azure for a high-impact engagement with a large US-based client modernizing its legacy MSSQL data reporting ecosystem.
- • Migrate and refactor legacy stored procedures and sprawling MSSQL processes into modern, governed Databricks solutions while contributing to data platform modernization initiatives, including medallion architecture, data quality, and governance practices.
- • Collaborate with the client’s team and Infinite Lambda’s Analytics Engineers to deliver high-quality, production-ready data assets in a client-facing consulting environment, gathering requirements, providing recommendations, and professionally pushing back when needed to ensure the best technical outcomes.
- • Apply broad data engineering skills (pipelining, orchestration, cloud infrastructure) while deepening expertise in the modern data stack (Databricks, Delta Live Tables, dbt, Snowflake) and working with cutting-edge data and AI technology in a diverse, distributed team across the UK, France, Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Singapore, Italy, Romania, and expanding into South America.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or Golang.
- • Hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure (preferred), including Delta Live Tables and Lakeflow, for designing and optimizing scalable data pipelines.
- • Proven experience migrating legacy MSSQL stored procedures and data workflows to modern platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake, with strong knowledge of data warehousing, relational and NoSQL databases, streaming technologies, and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes).
- • Fluency in English, excellent communication skills, and comfort working in client-facing, agile, and distributed team environments.
- • Self-starter mindset with pride in work, ability to gather requirements, provide technical recommendations, and push back professionally to ensure optimal outcomes.
