  • • As a Tech Lead Developer Experience at 360Learning SAS, you will serve as the pivotal technical and mentorship anchor for the Developer Experience (DX) squad, directly enabling 80+ engineers across 15+ product and tech squads to ship better code faster by removing friction from their development workflows. Your leadership ensures that the infrastructure, tooling, and processes supporting product teams are robust, scalable, and aligned with the company’s mission to empower engineers through intelligent automation and AI-enhanced tooling.
  • • You will act as the primary point of contact for all technical inquiries within the DX squad, triaging and resolving complex issues related to the codebase, build systems, CI/CD pipelines, functional test environments, and developer tooling — including the strategic integration and optimization of AI coding assistants — while knowing when to escalate or redirect to specialized squad members for deeper expertise.
  • • You will coach and mentor fellow developers in the squad through regular performance reviews, career path assessments, and one-on-one guidance, fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and psychological safety, helping individuals grow from individual contributors to future tech leads or architects.
  • • You will maintain hands-on technical contribution by dedicating approximately 80% of your time to coding, ensuring you remain deeply embedded in the technical realities of the squad’s work — writing, reviewing, and refining code, pipelines, and tooling — while allocating ~20% of your time to leadership, mentorship, and strategic planning activities.
  • • You will collaborate closely with product squads to understand their pain points and translate them into actionable improvements in developer tooling, environment consistency, and release velocity, acting as a force multiplier that enables faster iteration, higher code quality, and reduced cognitive load on feature teams.
  • • You will champion the adoption and evolution of modern DevOps practices, including infrastructure-as-code, automated testing strategies, and observability integrations, ensuring that the DX squad’s outputs are not only functional but also maintainable, secure, and observable at scale — supporting 360Learning’s growth to millions of monthly active users.
  • • You will contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of the DX squad in partnership with engineering leadership, helping prioritize investments in AI-driven developer assistance, pipeline optimization, and environment standardization that yield measurable gains in engineer productivity and satisfaction.
  • • You will operate within a high-trust, low-bureaucracy engineering culture at 360Learning SAS, where autonomy is balanced with accountability, and where your impact is measured not just by output but by the enabled velocity and happiness of the engineers you support.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Senior Engineer, or similar role in a fast-paced SaaS or B2B software environment, with demonstrated ability to balance hands-on coding with team mentorship and technical leadership.
  • • Deep expertise in modern developer tooling ecosystems, including CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), build systems (e.g., Maven, Gradle, Webpack, Vite), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and test automation frameworks.
  • • Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Python, Node.js) and frontend technologies (e.g., TypeScript, React, Vue), with practical experience working in monorepo or microservice architectures.
  • • Hands-on experience integrating and optimizing AI-powered coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Tabnine, Amazon CodeWhisperer) within developer workflows to improve velocity and code quality.
  • • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of providing constructive feedback, conducting performance reviews, and guiding career development for engineers.
  • • Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices, including infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible), observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), and security scanning in CI/CD pipelines.
