Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As a Technical Content Intern at Allspice Inc., you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between complex hardware engineering concepts and accessible, engaging content for a highly technical audience. Your work will directly support the company’s mission to revolutionize the $6.5B+ hardware development industry by making its platform more understandable and adoptable for electrical engineers worldwide.
- • You will collaborate with the marketing team to create high-impact technical content that educates, inspires, and engages hardware engineers, helping position Allspice as a trusted thought leader in the electronics engineering space.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include researching and writing in-depth blog posts, technical guides, and how-to articles tailored to hardware and electrical engineering audiences, ensuring technical accuracy while maintaining clarity and narrative flow.
- • You will draft and schedule social media content for platforms like LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter), crafting messages that resonate with hardware engineers by highlighting product capabilities, industry trends, and customer success stories in a tone that balances technical depth with approachability.
- • A key part of your role will involve technical storytelling — transforming product features and real-world customer use cases into compelling narratives that demonstrate value without oversimplifying the engineering nuances.
- • You will also engage in content repurposing, adapting long-form materials into multiple formats such as turning a blog post into a LinkedIn thread, a webinar into a concise recap, or a customer interview into a shareable one-pager to maximize reach across channels.
- • Through ongoing research and ideation, you will stay informed about emerging trends in hardware development, EDA tools, PCB design, and electronics manufacturing to identify timely topics and content opportunities that align with Allspice’s product roadmap and audience interests.
- • The marketing and engineering teams at Allspice are small, agile, and deeply passionate about empowering hardware teams through better collaboration tools. You’ll work closely with engineers and product managers who value precision, clarity, and innovation — offering you direct exposure to how technical products are positioned and communicated in a B2B developer tools context.
- • This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop hybrid technical-communication skills that are rare and highly valued in the tech industry: the ability to speak fluently in both engineering and marketing languages. You’ll build a portfolio of real-world technical content while gaining insight into how developer-focused startups grow and scale.
- • By the end of your internship, you will have produced measurable content that supports user education, community engagement, and product adoption — leaving with tangible work samples, improved technical writing proficiency, and a deeper understanding of the hardware engineering lifecycle and developer tools market.
🎯 Requirements
- • Background in hardware engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field (e.g., computer engineering, mechatronics, or physics with hardware focus)
- • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and accurately for expert audiences
- • Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable working with minimal supervision on creative writing and research tasks
- • Ability to adapt writing style across formats — from long-form technical guides to concise social media posts
- • Familiarity with or strong interest in hardware development workflows, EDA tools, or electronics design processes
🏖️ Benefits
- • Hybrid work model with flexibility to work remotely or from the San Francisco office
- • Mentorship from experienced marketing and technical team members in a fast-growing Series A startup
- • Opportunity to build a professional portfolio of published technical content including blog posts, guides, and social media campaigns
- • Exposure to cutting-edge hardware development tools and AI-driven engineering platforms
- • Potential for extension into a fall semester internship or future full-time role based on performance
