  • • Sitemate is seeking a dynamic and technically adept "full-stack" Technical Marketing Manager to spearhead our day-to-day marketing execution, meticulously manage our web infrastructure and performance, and ensure seamless coordination across our high-output marketing team. This pivotal role sits at the crucial intersection of marketing operations and deep technical execution, requiring a candidate who is proficient in managing a WordPress site, adept at troubleshooting performance issues, capable of building and deploying web pages using code, skilled in conducting basic Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) on landing pages and generators, and able to guide paid media spend while optimizing for the evolving landscape of AI-era search (AEO).
  • • You will collaborate closely with a lean, agile, and high-performing team, including content engineers, a dedicated designer, a performance marketer, and a marketing operations administrator. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, this position is designed for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and possesses a strong "founder/builder" mentality.
  • • This is not a conventional marketing management position. Sitemate is at the forefront of building a programmable marketing infrastructure, integrating an Airtable-driven content pipeline, leveraging AI-assisted content generation, and automating publishing processes. We require a technical generalist who can not only code but also think strategically and execute programmatically. A comfort level with AI tools such as Claude and Cursor is not just expected, but a fundamental requirement for success in this role.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to orchestrate the marketing team's operational rhythm. This involves defining priorities, identifying and resolving blockers, and managing effective handoffs between different functions. You will ensure that content engineers, designers, and paid media specialists are all aligned on weekly objectives, making this coordination aspect your core function.
  • • You will assume complete ownership of our website. This includes ensuring its uptime, optimizing page speed, managing the Content Delivery Network (CDN) and hosting (specifically Kinsta), maintaining plugins, and overseeing the critical Airtable to WordPress content pipeline. When issues arise, you will be the primary point of contact for diagnosis and resolution.
  • • A key part of your role will involve hands-on building and shipping of web pages. You will leverage our established Airtable to WordPress pipeline, utilize Beaver Builder/Themer, and also work with raw code. This means you won't just brief a designer; you will actively contribute to the creation and deployment of web assets.
  • • You will conduct basic CRO initiatives, focusing on implementing and testing variants for landing pages, improving conversion rates on our generators, and optimizing signup flows. This is an execution-focused responsibility, emphasizing practical implementation rather than high-level strategy.
  • • A significant and exciting challenge will be owning the AEO strategy. As AI search becomes increasingly dominant, you will be instrumental in defining how Sitemate appears in Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other AI-driven discovery platforms. This involves developing structured data, optimizing content for AI understanding, and continuously monitoring performance to build our foundational playbook in this rapidly evolving space.
  • • You will provide oversight for our paid media spend, working in tandem with the performance marketer. Your role will involve tracking campaign performance, flagging potential issues, and ensuring budget discipline. While you won't be directly managing campaigns, your guidance and monitoring will be crucial for efficient spend.
  • • Furthermore, you will be expected to be hands-on with the team wherever your technical expertise is most valuable. This could range from debugging a complex page speed issue, reviewing and refining landing page copy, to diving into Airtable to unblock a content engineer. Your versatility and willingness to jump in will be highly valued.
  • • The intensity of this role is high, reflecting Sitemate's position as a scale-up company making rapid, significant advancements. You will be expected to execute effectively under tight deadlines from your very first day.
  • • The traditional SEO playbook is undergoing a significant transformation across the industry. You will be tasked with navigating and defining the AEO strategy in real-time, adapting to new search paradigms.
  • • The marketing team is lean, comprising approximately 10 individuals spread across Australia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia. We operate without a large external agency or a dedicated internal development team, necessitating a resourceful and hands-on approach from you.
  • • The scope of this role is intentionally broad, encompassing team coordination, web infrastructure management, AEO strategy, CRO execution, and paid media oversight. However, once you grasp the underlying patterns and workflows, the responsibilities become manageable and rewarding.
  • • You are someone who builds daily with AI-assisted tools like Cursor or Claude Code. This is your preferred and most effective way of working.
  • • You have a proven track record of building and shipping tangible projects yourself – whether they are landing pages, internal tools, or automation workflows – rather than solely managing vendors who perform these tasks.
  • • You excel at keeping teams moving forward by clearing blockers, establishing clear priorities, and ensuring that projects are successfully shipped.
  • • You are comfortable and capable of owning a production website, including managing its hosting, performance, CDN, plugins, and overall health, going beyond basic CMS content editing.
  • • You possess a clear perspective on AEO and a solid understanding of how AI-driven search is fundamentally reshaping online discovery.
  • • You may have previously held a senior marketing position or have experience as a founder. Regardless of your specific background, you embody a builder's energy and are eager to integrate into an established system and optimize its performance.
  • • This role is not suited for brand or campaign marketers who primarily delegate execution tasks to agencies or developers.
  • • It is not for individuals who require a fully pre-defined playbook to operate.
  • • It is not ideal for content-first marketers, as Sitemate has a dedicated content engineering team for those functions.
  • • It is not for someone who dislikes a balanced mix of coordination and hands-on execution; every member of the Sitemate team is expected to be a proactive doer.
  • • You will be responsible for managing the marketing team's operational rhythm, ensuring priorities are set, blockers are addressed, and handoffs are smooth. This includes aligning content engineers, designers, and paid media specialists on weekly objectives.
  • • You will own the entire website lifecycle, from uptime and page speed optimization to CDN, hosting (Kinsta), plugin management, and the crucial Airtable-to-WordPress content pipeline. You will be the go-to person for troubleshooting and fixing any website-related issues.
  • • You will actively build and ship web pages using our established Airtable-to-WordPress pipeline, Beaver Builder/Themer, and raw code, taking direct ownership of content deployment.
  • • You will execute basic CRO initiatives, including A/B testing landing page variants, analyzing conversion data, and implementing improvements to generators and signup flows.
