📋 Description

• The Technical Monitoring Operations role is critical to ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of DEUNA’s ATHIA platform, which powers payment orchestration for large enterprises across Latin America and expanding into the U.S. This role directly impacts customer trust and revenue by maintaining seamless payment flows for major retailers, airlines, and marketplaces.
• Day to day, the person will monitor system health and transaction flows in real time, respond to alerts and incidents, triage issues across payment integrations and infrastructure, document root causes, and collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve disruptions quickly. They will also help refine monitoring thresholds, improve observability tooling, and contribute to runbook development for high-volume payment processing environments.
• DEUNA Inc. is a fast-growing startup building ATHIA, an AI-powered payments orchestration platform used by over 20% of Mexico’s digital economy. The company integrates with 300+ payment service providers and alternative payment methods, enabling enterprises to boost approval rates, reduce costs, and unlock new revenue through a single, unified interface. The team is mission-driven, technically deep, and expanding rapidly into the U.S. market.
• In this role, the person will develop deep expertise in payment systems, real-time transaction monitoring, and fintech infrastructure. They will gain hands-on experience with observability tools, incident response in high-stakes environments, and cross-functional collaboration between engineering, product, and customer success — positioning them for growth into senior SRE, DevOps, or payments operations roles.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience monitoring complex, high-volume transaction systems in fintech, payments, or e-commerce environments
• Proficiency with observability tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana) and log analysis (ELK, Splunk)
• Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose issues across distributed systems, APIs, and microservices
• Familiarity with payment processing flows, PCI DSS concepts, or reconciliation processes
• Ability to work in rotating shifts or on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage
• Excellent communication skills for documenting incidents and coordinating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
