- • Technical Project Manager at Xpansiv Inc. plays a pivotal role in advancing the company’s mission to build trusted infrastructure for the global energy transition by overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software initiatives that support environmental commodity markets such as renewables, carbon, fuels, and plastics. This role ensures that product development aligns with strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and market needs, enabling transparent and auditable sustainability claims for clients worldwide.
- • The Technical Project Manager will drive cross-functional collaboration between engineering, product, data, and operations teams to deliver high-impact registry software solutions on time and within scope, acting as the central coordinator for technical initiatives that underpin Xpansiv’s platform integrity and scalability.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in partnership with product stakeholders; developing detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations using Agile and hybrid methodologies; identifying and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle; facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and review meetings; tracking progress against milestones and reporting status to leadership and clients; ensuring adherence to quality standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements relevant to environmental markets; managing dependencies across teams and systems; coordinating releases and deployment schedules; maintaining comprehensive documentation including requirements, test plans, and change logs; and serving as the escalation point for blockers or issues affecting delivery.
- • The role also involves collaborating with product managers to translate market and regulatory requirements into technical specifications; working closely with data engineers and architects to ensure data integrity and system performance in registry platforms; supporting integration efforts with marketplaces, clearinghouses, and client systems; contributing to process improvement initiatives that enhance delivery predictability and efficiency; and participating in vendor and third-party management when external partners are involved in solution components.
- • Xpansiv’s team is composed of domain experts in energy, environmental markets, software engineering, and financial technology, united by a shared commitment to advancing climate accountability through innovative digital infrastructure. The company operates at the intersection of sustainability and technology, serving clients ranging from corporations and investors to governments and NGOs who rely on Xpansiv’s platforms to verify and trade environmental attributes with confidence.
- • The Technical Project Manager will work within APX, a Xpansiv Company and a long-standing leader in environmental registry services, which provides critical infrastructure for tracking and verifying renewable energy credits, carbon offsets, and other sustainability instruments. This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in regulated environmental markets while strengthening technical project leadership skills in a high-growth, mission-driven organization backed by Blackstone and other prominent investors.
- • In this position, the individual will gain hands-on experience managing complex software projects in a specialized industry with evolving regulatory frameworks; develop proficiency in balancing technical rigor with business agility; enhance stakeholder management capabilities across technical, commercial, and regulatory audiences; and contribute directly to scalable solutions that support global decarbonization efforts. Success in this role can lead to greater leadership responsibilities in product delivery, program management, or enterprise initiative oversight within Xpansiv’s expanding portfolio.

- • Proven ability to manage end-to-end project lifecycles using Agile (Scrum/Kanban), Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience coordinating across engineering, product, data, and operations teams.
