We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) with profound, hands-on SAP expertise to spearhead our most critical customer implementations. This role transcends traditional project management; you will be the driving force ensuring Tessera's innovative AI solutions are integrated seamlessly, safely, and predictably into intricate SAP environments (ECC and S/4HANA).
• • As a TPM, you will act as the essential conduit between Tessera's advanced AI agents and the realities of enterprise-level systems. Your ability to communicate fluently with customer SAP Basis teams, Solution Architects, and business process owners is paramount. You will translate their technical concerns and business requirements into actionable specifications for Tessera's AI and engineering teams, ensuring a cohesive and effective integration strategy.
• • Your deep-seated understanding of SAP will be instrumental in providing critical technical guidance during issue resolution, actively participating in architecture discussions, and maintaining alignment among all teams regarding technical requirements and feasibility. The ideal candidate possesses a robust background in delivering SAP transformation programs, either within System Integrator firms or large enterprise settings, and is eager to apply AI to accelerate and enhance these well-established processes.
• • Key Responsibilities will encompass end-to-end delivery ownership of multi-agent AI modernization programs. This includes ensuring flawless integration with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and associated enterprise systems. You will utilize your extensive SAP knowledge to proactively identify potential technical challenges related to data structures, custom code (ABAP), and process orchestration, developing strategies to overcome them.
• • You will lead a dedicated, cross-functional delivery pod, comprising Forward-Deployed Engineers and Data Engineers, navigating the inherent complexities of SAP landscapes. This leadership involves fostering collaboration, ensuring clear communication, and driving towards successful project milestones.
• • A significant aspect of this role involves acting as the primary technical interpreter between customer SAP technical teams and Tessera's AI product organizations. You will lead discovery workshops, employing your SAP fluency to meticulously map complex system landscapes, data flows, and integration points, aligning them with Tessera's agentic capabilities.
• • You will be responsible for articulating technical trade-offs and detailed implementation plans to a diverse audience, ranging from CIO-level executives to SAP technical leads, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.
• • Execution management within complex enterprise landscapes is crucial. You will drive Agile delivery methodologies, adapting them to the constraints of enterprise change management processes and SAP's Activate methodology or similar frameworks. Anticipating risks associated with custom code remediation, data harmonization, and cross-system dependencies will be a key focus, with the expectation of creating clear, technically grounded mitigation plans.
• • Ensuring enterprise-grade governance and deployment is non-negotiable. All delivery efforts must adhere to rigorous enterprise standards for security, compliance, auditability, and SAP-specific change governance, such as transport management.
• • You will oversee the technical prerequisites for seamless integration across enterprise systems, with a primary emphasis on SAP environments.
• • Customer engagement and escalation management are vital. You will serve as the main technical operations contact during the critical onboarding and implementation phases. Managing technical escalations from customer IT teams will require coordinating engineering responses with clear, timely communication, underpinned by a deep understanding of the underlying SAP issues.
• • A startup mindset and a commitment to extreme ownership are expected. You will operate within a high-velocity environment, bringing structure, clarity, and decisive action to complex and often ambiguous customer challenges. This role will require travel to customer sites for workshops, solution design sessions, and program oversight, as per client requirements (up to 70%).
• • Your ability to balance deep SAP engineering knowledge with robust program structure and effective executive communication will be key to success. You will operate with a strong sense of ownership, a bias for clarity, and a proactive approach to action.
